Icelandic American
- Trading Company
Icelandic American owns four production companies. Myllan
bakery, Ora canning company, Frón and
Kexsmiđjan that
manufacture biscuits. It also owns Mekka Wine&Spirits that sells
and distributes spirits and wine in Iceland.
On top of that IceAm acquired joint ownership of Askja in 2005.
Askja is a prominent car dealership in Iceland, importing cars
from the Korean manufacturer Kia and the world famous German
manufacturer Mercedes Benz. |

Myllan since 1959
Myllan-Brauđ Ltd. was originally founded in 1959 and has
become a leading brand in bread, cakes and pastry in Iceland.
Icelandic American bought the company in March 2004.

Ora Food Processing Company
- A Leading Manufacturer of Fish Products
ORA since 1952
ORA Food Processing Company Ltd was founded in 1952. Since
then ORA has become a leading brand in canned food and gourmet
seafood delicacies in Iceland.
The company's main export product categories are lumpfish caviar
and capelin caviar along with herring, fish loaf, fish nuggets
(fiskeboller), fish soups and sauces.

Frón Biscuit Company
- A Leading Manufacturer in Biscuits
Frón since 1926
Frón was founded in 1926 and has been from the very beginning a
leading brand in the Icelandic market.
Frón produces a big variety of biscuits, some of which are
traditional and have been made without changes for more than 50
years. Icelandic American bought the company in 2000.
Frón has been emphasising more on new developments and
introduced several new items each year to strengthen even
further this well known brand.

Kexsmidjan Buiscuit Company
- Biscuits Manufacturer
Kexsmiđjan since 1997
Kexsmiđjan was founded in 1997 in Akureyri, the biggest town on
the north part of Iceland.
Icelandic American took care of sales and distribution for the
company in the beginning stages, but in late 2003 Icelandic
American bought the company.
Kexsmiđjan is now emphasising on new developments in order to
build and strengthen a relatively new brand that is known for
good taste and quality.

Mekka Spirits&Wines
- Wine and spirit wholesale and distribution company
Mekka since 1995
Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine in Iceland was founded in the year
1995. Icelandic American was a 49% shareholder, but when Pernod
Ricard bought Allied Domecq International in 2005 IceAm bought
the rest of the company. In beginning of 2006 the name was
changed to Mekka Spirits&Wines.
Mekka is currently the second biggest Spirit and wine wholesale
company in Iceland and has many world known and strong brands in
it's portfolio, such as: Ballantine's, Sauza, Beefeater,
Courvoisier, Malibu, Harvey's Bristol Cream, Mumm, Baccardi,
Martini, Jack Daniel's, Southern Comfort, Drambuie, Miller and
more.
